“INDIA - JAPAN SME BUSINESS COUNCIL” has been initiated by SME Chamber of India to provide a platform to explore emerging business opportunities for the Indian and Japanese SMEs and allied industries and businesses related to exports, imports, joint ventures, technology transfers, contract manufacturing, in and out bound investments, franchise, distributorship, strategic business alliances for marketing, promotion, branding, business advisory services, financial services, exhibition services and other business opportunities in India and Japan as well as exchange information on the business leads, taxation, investment opportunities, incentives and schemes, various activities and events and enhancement of imports and exports, joint ventures, technology transfers, contract manufacturing tie ups and investment promotional activities in both the countries.
This Council will act as an apex body for the enhancement and development of economic and diplomatic relations between India and Japan and will play important role to interact with the Government authorities, regulatory bodies, large industries, exhibition organisers, capital goods manufacturers, marketing and distribution agencies, industrial parks, industrial zones, financial and education institutions, research and development institutions, technology parks, investment boards of Federal and Provincial Governments and will organise various business promotional activities & events.

Nair - Adviser to the Prime Minister launching INDIA - JAPAN SME BUSINESS COUNCIL initiated by SME Chamber of India, jointly with Maharashtra Industry Development Association (MIDA) and India international Trade Centre (IITC-INDIA) with the objective - connecting Indian and Japanese SMEs for Strategic Partnership, Joint Venture, Technology Transfer and Investment Promotion
This Council will also provide assistance for setting up of manufacturing units, identifying genuine and verified suppliers, exporters, manufacturers, service providers, buyers, appointment of business agents & small representatives, trade and alliance partners in both the countries. The Council will coordinate with the Government agencies to encourage SMEs to avail various support services, schemes, incentives, benefits, financial aids and various other business promotional services of the provincial and Federation Government Departments & agencies.
